This particular economic downturn isn't nearly as bad as what was going
on in the early '90s though. It's certainly taking more effort to get
a job, but there do seem to be jobs out there.

There's definately a lot more competition - and it's certainly harder
to stand out, if you don't have something that already stands out about
your skillset.

I've tossed around the thought of putting together a "resume writing
and interview skills for geeks" talk, but have yet to get past the
"is this a good idea" stage.

Thoughts and comments on that would be welcome ;>
