Help troubleshooting Xwindows problem

Hi
 I have a user who is having trouble with an X application.  He is
using cygwin X and the application is very slow from his desktop.  I
have the same setup, but a faster connection and I have no trouble
whatsoever.

I don't see any usual memory issues with the server, or the client.  I
will have to try booting into a live cd to test the connection there.

Any thoughts on how to isolate the problems?
