Presentation by Ramona Howard: "RaveHD"
=======================================

RaveHD is the first High-End Disk Drive Recorder to open its source
code to its clients. Although this is not an open source product (as
in free beer) the customer does receive full source code to everything
written by SpectSoft within the software. With the exception of QT all
code was written in-house by SpectSoft which includes a universal
driver for the AJA line of I/O boards, RS422 library and image library
in addition to information of utilizing a MySQL database is all part
of the product.

RaveHD is currently being utilized by some top studios for the making
of feature films with many more slated to come online
shortly. Bringing video and film one step closer and providing tools
strictly on the Linux platform is what we do. We are a 100% Linux
facility, focused entirely on the media industry.

Members' Minutes
================

Members will have an opportunity to take a few minutes to...

    * Describe their latest Linux discovery
    * Ask questions and get help from other members
    * Discuss Linux projects

You can just stand up and talk, or give a short demo or presentation.
If you need audio/visual support for your Members' Minute, please
contact Bill in advance to arrange for your needs.

We have a limited number of books courtesy of Prentice-Hall to give
away as an added inducement to participate in this portion of the
meeting.  :-)

people to expect, so if possible please email rsvp at penlug.org if you
