Reliable laptops around $1k?

Have you looked at the IBM-refurbished Thinkpads for sale on eBay?  If
you wait, you'll find one at your price.  Also, www.ecost.com was
blowing out some older T23s dirt cheap a week or so ago.  Don't know if
they're still avail.
