I am looking for a sysadmin for a new team split off from the OPs group at a fast growing company.
This position would report to me so feel free to ask any questions direct.

I haven’t had much luck finding candidates though more traditional routes so hoping the good folks here can help out with some referrals.

Thanks,

Jonathan

We’re solving traditional problems in a new way, and need help to continue on a great new path!
Do you actually like people and dealing with them? We’re also an IT department people LIKE and enjoy interacting with.

Know what a VLAN is and how it works on a network
Have worked with Active Directory enough to discuss replication etc (don’t worry, not a windows shop)
Know what split horizon DNS is and why it’s a bad idea but we do it anyway

Nice to have:
Experience with authentication and single-sign-on services
The ability to quickly understand and solve issues using customer service best practices while maintaining a positive attitude.
Individuals should be able to multi-task and establish priorities and have a genuine eagerness to learn new concepts.
Attention to detail and organizational skills are required
Scripting with Python, Ruby or something similar
Worked with Saltstack or Ansible
Excellent diagnosis and problem-solving skills in the areas of operating systems and general software and hardware
Skills in configuring and troubleshooting peripheral devices such as printers and scanners.
Ability to maintain a flexible work schedule
No this doesn’t mean 80 hours a week, it means we occasionally do evening maintenance
About Medallia:
Medallia was founded on a simple idea: that companies can win by putting the customer before everything else. Our SaaS platform does this bycapturing customer feedback, analyzing it in real-time, and then delivering it to everyone in a company — from the c-suite to the frontline — to help them improve. We’re now considered the leaders in a space we helped to create, we’re Sequoia backed, and we’re growing like crazy, doubling in size every 12 months. We’ve got a culture focused on smarts, kindness, continual learning, irreverence… and our people love it. A full 95% of our employees would recommend us to their friends.

Come find out why.
