From rnovak at indyramp.com Fri Feb 21 13:13:24 2014 From: rnovak at indyramp.com (Robert Novak) Date: Fri, 21 Feb 2014 13:13:24 -0800 Subject: [Baylisa] BayLISA is looking for volunteers and speakers; Also, upcoming Cisco meetup that I'll be hosting. Message-ID: Hi folks, First of all, I'll be hosting a meetup for the Cisco Support Community this coming Thursday, around the Cisco Unified Computing System 2.2 software release. If you're interested in Cisco's data center play, check out details at http://www.meetup.com/csc-sv/events/162154302/ and come along to see us. Back to BayLISA though: As some of you may have noticed, we did not hold our regular meeting this past Thursday. We ran short on speaker options again this February, and I was unavailable to drive the meeting process due to family and health issues, but we hope to be able to rectify this for the upcoming March 20 meeting. We regularly hear from a few people who don't like vendors presenting at BayLISA. We rarely hear from those people offering to present something themselves, or suggesting another "pure" technologist to give a talk. Here's your chance. If you've done something interesting recently that you'd like to share with the sysadmin community, or if you know someone local who has, get in touch with me or put them in touch with me. If you know a vendor or company with sufficiently technical people who might want to present, feel free to help us connect with them as well. And if you'd like to get involved on a more regular basis, we have room on the board for a couple more active participants in the BayLISA operations side of things. It takes about an hour or two a week, gets you visibility in the community and the industry, and benefits other sysadmins in the area as well. Contact me directly if you'd like to help with any of the above. Thanks, Robert Novak BayLISA President From rnovak at indyramp.com Fri Feb 21 13:13:24 2014 From: rnovak at indyramp.com (Robert Novak) Date: Fri, 21 Feb 2014 13:13:24 -0800 Subject: [Baylisa] BayLISA is looking for volunteers and speakers; Also, upcoming Cisco meetup that I'll be hosting.
