Hi folks,

I have some good news and an inquiry / request for help.

I've been working for a month or so on putting together a State of Hadoop
session for BayLISA, but it took most of that month to find out that few of
the presenters were available. So we're scheduling our big Hadoop fest for
May 16th instead.

More details on "Hadoop Innovations at BayLISA" May 16, 2013:

they'll go there).

We're having Ansible ("Advanced System Orchestration") in to speak at our
April 18th meeting.

Now down to the not so good news. With the Hadoop talk being pushed out,
we're again without a headline speaker this month. I believe we have one
talk lined up from a board member, but we're looking for another talk or
two.

If you have something you'd like to present for 25-30 minutes next
Thursday, preferably that hasn't been presented in the last 3-6 months,
please get in touch with me asap. No Powerpoint required... live demos are
great though. :) Or at least practical reports on what's made your life
easier lately in systems/network administration.

As always, we're looking for folks to fill in gaps in the BayLISA Board of
Directors. If you know anybody in the tech industry and can commit to an
average of 1-2 hours a week to advance the cause of BayLISA, we can use
your help. Get in touch with me directly for more info, or talk to me at an
upcoming board meeting.

Thanks,
Robert Novak
BayLISA President
