hi ya baylisa-erz

- i thought it was funny or annoying:

	- the plans calls for the air ducts to blow air
down the middle of the the 2 rows of racks

	- they built the air ducts right above one
	row of the 8' tall racks ( about 2' clearance ) :-)

i just happened to go in there for the first time
and though it was hilarious .. not building to
the plans and arbitrarily moving things around

- dumb questions .. for seismic reinforcement of racks ..

	- "ladder things" like this that is above the racks

		http://chatsworth.com/main.asp?ID=29

	- can the ladder style cable management seen
above the racks be used to hold the tops
of the raacks for earthquake reinforcement ??

		- i say no since its not nailed to anything
and the ladder is usually just hanging :-)

	- they want to secure these ladders vertically to the 4x8
plywood screwed into the wall ( tin behind the sheetrock )

		- when you pull on the ladder say 0.25"
( half the thickness of the plywood), the
		plywood will simply break apart

- guess the ladder and cablement stuff just depends on which
  ones are used .. :-)

- i like the 2x4 or 2x6 for holding the tops of the racks
in place during the earthquakes and that the 2x4 is
mounted into regular "x" and nailed together with those
  reinforcing corner brackets
