A more northerly LISA group was tried once before in the past. Hal Pomeranz tried setting something up in Berkeley/Oakland IIRC. It might be wise to drop him a note and finds out what he believes were the impediments to the success of that attempt before investing lots of time and effort potentially reinventing the (non-working) wheel. - Paul -
