Good Agentless monitoring packages?

I use this:

    http://www.kernel.org/software/mon/

It's certainly "agentless" in that it is monitoring-method-agnostic. It
can use SNMP to acquire the status of whatever you're interested in,
or it doesn't need to.

It includes a good number of monitor programs in the distribution,
and there are a user-contributed set of them available here, in case
you don't see what you need in the standard set of modules:
