LinuxCertified is looking for an experienced Linux System
Administrator<br>
to join our team. Responsibilities include managing racks of
servers<br>
running CentOS 5 and 6. These systems are used by developers to
build<br>
and test code as well as to run production Internet servers. A<br>
qualified candidate will be able to design and implement a hardware
spec<br>
based on a client's requirements. Managing existing SAN and
network<br>
infrastructure well is a must. The ideal candidate will be able
to<br>
manage his or her time with minimum guidance and maintain service
uptime<br>
at 99% or better.<br><br>

Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or related
discipline,<br>
with 3-4 years of relevant work experience<br>

CentOS/RHEL Linux or legacy UNIX experience in an enterprise<br>
environment<br>
<x-tab> </x-tab>Proven
expertise performing root cause analysis of system failures and<br>
application bottlenecks<br>
<x-tab> </x-tab>Ability to
conduct and manage key deployments of new services for<br>
client organizations<br>
<x-tab> </x-tab>Knowledge
of programming languages and operating systems<br>
<x-tab> </x-tab>Knowledge
of current equipment and technologies in use (Intel/AMD based<br>
rack mountable servers)<br>
<x-tab> </x-tab>At least 2
years' experience with a minimum of 4 of the following<br>

understanding of RAID systems and levels, both in hardware and<br>

center power management: switched rack PDUs, large<br>

comprehensive understanding of IPv4 network technology. IPv6 is a
bonus.<br>

understanding of Linux package management: how to deploy and build<br>
packages, package repositories, etc<br>

experience writing BASH scripts<br>
